Ingredients

10 minutes.
4 persons.
  • 1 cuponion (sliced)
  • 4kashmiri chillies
  • 1/4 cupdeseeded tamarind
  • 1inch "ginger
  • 1 tbspchana dal
  • 1 tbspurad dal
  • 1/2 tspmustard seeds
  • 1 tbspoil
  • to tasteSalt
  • 2 tbspdessicated coconut
  • For tampering:
  • 1 tbspoil
  • 1 tbspmustard seeds
  • 2dried red chillies
  • As neededFew curry leaves

Steps

10 minutes.
  1. 1

    Heat oil in a pan,add all the ingredient of chutney exept salt.

  2. 2

    Fry 2 minutes,transfer to a grinding jar,make smooth paste with the help of some water.

  3. 3

    Add salt,mix.

  4. 4

    For tampering :Heat oil in a tadka pan,add mustard seeds,chillies and curry leaves.

  5. 5

    Fry 30 seconds,pour over chutney.Serve with idlis,dosas or with any snack.
