Ingredients

4-6 servings
  1. 4-5 cupssliced apples
  2. 1 cupflour
  3. 1/2 cupbutter, margarine, or shortening
  4. 1/2 cupwhite or brown sugar
  5. Dashsalt
  6. Dashcinnamon or nutmeg to sprinkle across top

    Wash and slice apples. Place in greased 8”x8” pan.

  2. 2

    Combine sugar, flour, and salt salt in mixing bowl. Cut in butter until mixture looks like a crumb topping. Congratulations! You have produced a crumb topping.

  3. 3

    Spread crumb mixture across sliced apples and sprinkle with cinnamon or nutmeg as desired.

  4. 4

    Bake at 375 for 35 minutes or until apples are soft and top is golden. Good with ice cream or on its own.
