Add butter to a bowl and blend it well with a hand mixer. Now add sugar and blend it again to get a smooth batter.

Add eggs and vanilla essence and blend it well again

Add maida little by little and mix it. Add milk if the batter is too thick. Do not add more than quarter cup of milk.

Finally add cashews and give it a quick mix. Pour the batter in to a baking pan. Bake it in a preheated oven for 40 minutes in 180 degrees.

The cake is now ready. You can transfer it into a plate and cut it into pieces and serve it.
