Ingredients

30-40 minutes
3-4 persons
  1. 1 cupmoong masoor dal mix (ratio — 1 : 1), soaked in water overnight
  2. As per taste Salt
  3. Pinchhing
  4. 1 tsphaldi powder
  5. 1 tbspoil
  6. For Tadka—
  7. 2 tbsp desi ghee
  8. 4laung
  9. 3 tspzeera powder(cumin)
  10. 3Dry red chilli, 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes

Steps

30-40 minutes
  1. 1

    Wash dal mix & strain it.

  2. 2

    Take a pressure cooker, add dal, hing, salt, haldi powder & oil.

  3. 3

    Now add water accordingly, place the lid & put it on high flame.

  4. 4

    Give 4 whistles, now lower the flame & cook it for 15 - 20 minutes.

  5. 5

    Let it cool down, open the lid, stir dal nicely. Take out in a serving bowl, keep aside.

  6. 6

    Take a pan, add ghee, heat it.

  7. 7

    Add laung & zeera, let it splutter.

  8. 8

    Add dry red chilli (halves) & red chilli flakes. Do not over cook it.

  9. 9

    Pour tadka directly over dal.

  10. 10

    Serve it with Roti or Rice.
