Fatteh Kebab (Kofta Fatteh)

Today's recipe is both a dish and a tip: you can make several recipes using one main ingredient. The amount of kofta I used today was leftover from two days ago, and I wanted to serve it differently for the kids, so I made this fatteh dish. Honestly, it tastes amazing! I hope you try it and use this idea to turn extra food into delicious meals.

Steps

30 minutes
  1. 1

Cut the pita bread into squares using kitchen scissors and toast in the oven.

  2. 2

To make the white sauce, combine the yogurt and tahini in a bowl and mix well.

  3. 3

Add the minced garlic, lemon juice, and salt to the mixture and set aside.

  4. 4

    Shape the kofta into balls.

  5. 5

Heat the vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat, add the kofta balls, and sauté until lightly browned.

  6. 6

Add the tomato paste to the kofta, then pour in the tomato juice and stir.

  7. 7

Finally, add a pinch of mixed spices and salt. Let simmer on low heat for 3 to 4 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  8. 8

To assemble, place the toasted bread as the first layer on a serving dish.

  9. 9

Add the tomato sauce as the second layer, then the prepared yogurt sauce as the third layer.

  10. 10

Top with the kofta balls and a little of the sauce.

  11. 11

Garnish with chopped parsley, toasted almonds, and pomegranate seeds. Enjoy!
