Ingredients

50 minutes
Serves 5 servings
  • for the patties
  • 2eggs
  • 9 ozground shrimp meat (about 250 grams)
  • for the sauce
  • 2 cupswater (about 480 ml)
  • 1/4onion
  • 2 clovesgarlic
  • 6cascabel chiles
  • Salt or chicken bouillon, to taste

Steps

50 minutes
  1. 1

    First, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form. Then add the yolks and continue beating. Finally, fold in the ground shrimp meat.

  2. 2

    Heat enough oil in a skillet to fry the patties. Once golden brown, drain them on paper towels.

  3. 3

    *For the sauce**: Boil the chiles until soft. Clean and remove the seeds and veins before blending. Once ready, blend them with all the other sauce ingredients.

  4. 4

    Strain the blended sauce and pour it into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until it starts to boil. Add the patties, reduce the heat to low, and simmer for about 20 more minutes. Enjoy!
