My mom always told me it's ill mannered to be empty handed on someone's steps. So these cookies were made for my boyfriend to share with his buddy. Unless he eats them all during his 5 hour drive. 🤣 The creation is a spin-off a yummy brownie recipe I found years ago using a strawberry cake mix.

I was the pig tailed girl in the kitched whining, stirring, washing dishes, setting the table, and stirring the gravy. As an adult nothing inspires me more than reminiscing about those days in the kitchen when my grandmother, mom, and aunts buzzed around the kitchen from oven to sink, to fridge to table while I watched and helped. I love giving gifts and I love cooking. If you had the ability to give a gift to someone just "because" wouldn't you do it regularly?
