Cooking Instructions

Proof the yeast by adding 1 teaspoon of sugar into ¼ cup of luke warm water and add 2 teaspoons of yeast. Stir and allow to rise for some minutes.

In a bowl, add 1 cup of evaporated milk, yeast mixture and stir.

Add ½ cup of sugar, ⅓ cup of oil, 2 eggs and mix.

Seive the 4 cups of flour and add it to the wet mixture bit by bit to avoid clumps.

Transfer the dough on to the counter, and knead to form a soft dough.

Transfer the dough into a bowl sprinkled with flour, cover it with a clean towel and set aside to rise for 1 hour.

In another bowl, add ⅓ cup of bread crumbs, ¼ cup brown sugar, ⅓ cup butter, mix and set aside for the filling.

Take out the dough after it has doubled in size and transfer it on to the counter. Knead for some minutes and using a rolling pin, roll out the dough into a thin circle.

Fold the dough into a cylindrical shape, and cut into pieces using a knife.

Roll each piece and spread the filling at the centre of each piece.

Roll back each piece into a cylindrical shape and transfer onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

Sprinkle bread crumbs on each bread piece. Cover with a clean towel and allow to rest for 30 minutes.

Bake on a lower rack until bread puffs up, then transfer to an upper rack till golden brown.
