First, cut the paneer into any shape you like. Sprinkle half a teaspoon of red chili powder, a little salt, and some garam masala over the paneer. Mix well with your hands. Heat oil in a pan and cook each piece of paneer for 2 minutes.

Once the paneer is nicely browned, remove it and set aside on a plate. For the gravy, finely chop or grate the onions and tomatoes. Finely chop the ginger and garlic as well. Heat oil in a pan, add the onions and all the spices, and sauté for 20 minutes.

When the spices are well cooked, add 2 cups (about 480 ml) of water and let the gravy cook for 20 minutes. Add the fried paneer and finely chopped cilantro. Your paneer curry is ready to serve.
