8 - 12 minutes

3/4 cupbutter
3/4 cupbrown sugar
3/4 cupmolasses
1 tspsalt
2 tspcinnamon
2 tspginger
1/4 tspallspice or cloves
1egg
1 tspbaking powder
1 tspbaking soda
3 1/2 cupsflour

8 - 12 minutes

Melt butter, add sugar and spices. Cool and mix in egg.

Mix baking powder, soda and salt into flour.

Stir flour mixture into molasses and mix well.

Chill.

Roll 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick and cut out cookies.

Place on parchment lined sheet and bake at 350 for 8 - 12 minutes.
