Fried Chicken with Lemon Sauce Fried Chicken with Lemon Sauce
I fry the chicken thigh after cutting it in half, but I feel like it's easier to cut it into bite-sized pieces first and then fry them. That way, the pieces will turn out crispier, will be well flavored, and won't need to be cut afterwards. Do this however you like! The fried chicken fromwas really good, so I tried it with lemon sauce this time. Having learned the method of coating the chicken with egg after dusting with katakuriko, I've made my fried chicken this way many times. The tartness differs significantly between rice vinegar and lemon. It also differs between lemons in the summer and winter, so be sure to taste. I think tastes better if it's rather sweet.I made the sauce strong in flavor with, but the sauce this time is rather light and refreshing, so it's better to season your chicken well. For 2 servings. Kitsuné Rice Bowl with Curry Sauce and Fried Tofu Kitsuné Rice Bowl with Curry Sauce and Fried Tofu
Fried bean curd cooked in a sweet-savory sauce on rice (called kitsune-don) is delicious and I love it, but I thought that in the summer months when appetites are lagging something spicy like this would be better. My husband really liked it so I decided to upload it here! You can freeze aburaage (fried flat tofu), so it's useful to keep stocked. I make the sauce with dashi stock so it's not that spicy. It's also good on top of udon noodles. Recipe by pappatyan cookpad.japan -

This dish is one of the famous dishes served in many oldies Chinese restaurants in Indonesia. It's one of my favorite dish and now becomes my family's.I suggest to cut the chicken in small pieces (about 20 pieces) if you use the whole chicken or cut half for thigh/breast (bone-in), so the chicken will be cooked faster. Stir Fried Chicken and Basil over Rice Stir Fried Chicken and Basil over Rice
I think this is my favorite Thai-style "mix-it-up rice" dish. No matter how often I have it, I want to have it again. I used to eat this at Thai restaurants in Japan too, but it's expensive! So I started making it myself... In Thailand you would use Thai holy basil, but in Japan you have to go to a Thai grocery store to get it, so I started using sweet basil instead. Now I kind of prefer it over holy basil. This is now my standard recipe. You can also chop up a block of chicken thigh meat. If you prefer a lighter taste, use chicken breast meat. Chili peppers can be really hot or not that hot, so try adding a little bit to start. For 2 servings. Recipe by Etemon cookpad.japan -

The Singapore chicken rice with ginger sauce I had at a cafe was so delicious. So I came up with this recipe to make it easily at home. You don't need to use fresh coriander if you don't like it! (Actually, I don't like it myself.)You can use boiled chicken instead of cooking it with the rice! The boiled chicken has a firmer texture, so choose whichever you like.
