Smoked bacon & cheese penne pasta (10 minutes to prepare and cook)

Ingredients

10 minutes
2 people
  1. 250 gpenne pasta
  2. 500 gthick cut smoked bacon
  3. 1 packmeal maker cheese sauce
  4. Grated mature cheddar

Cooking Instructions

10 minutes
  1. 1

    Chop the bacon into your preferred sized chunks

  2. 2

    Fry the bacon chunks in a tiny splash of olive oil until slightly browned

  3. 3

    Whilst bacon is frying, add 250g of penne pasta to a large pan of boiling salted water

  4. 4

    When the pasta is a few minutes away from being ready, make up the cheese sauce (it takes 3-4 minutes)

  5. 5

    Drain the pasta and then put it back into the saucepan

  6. 6

    Add the cheese sauce and fried bacon and turn well to thoroughly mix together

  7. 7

    Serve and garnish with some grated mature cheddar
