Marinate the fish for 30 mins with 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste and juice of 1 lemon.

Heat a frying pan on medium heat and shallow fry the fish, 3 minutes on each side.

On medium heat, in a separate pan, put 2 tablespoon cooking oil. Add onions and cook until golden brown.

Add blended tomato, salt, 1/2 teaspoon garlic paste, 1/2 teaspoon ginger paste, green chili, tomato paste, 1/2 teaspoon chili powder, 1/2 teaspoon paprika, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric.

Cook until the tomato are cooked well and thick.

Add the fish and lemon juice and gently stir making sure the fish does not break. Adjust salt if need be. You may add some water if needed, to prevent the gravy from drying.

Cover the pan, and let the fish cook for 10 minutes on low heat. Garnish with coriander.

Serve warm with rice or naan bread.
