It is, in fact, not necessarily a fish pie, you can put there pretty everything you fancy, be it liver, minced meat, vegetables, etc. I made it with spinach, cream and salmon.

Ingredients

4 servings
  1. 5layers of filo dough
  2. Melted butter
  3. 0.5 kgsalmon or any other fish
  4. 200 gspinach
  5. Halfcup cream
  6. Onion
  7. Olive oil
  8. Salt
  9. Pepper
  10. Melted nuts
  11. Parmigianino
  12. Seeds

  1. 1

    Defreeze filo dough and place two thin layers in the baking heat resistant form, cover with melted butter and a layer of melted nuts. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees

    Cut onion and fry in a pan on butter. Then put it on the nut layer

  3. 3

    Cut salmon in squares, mix with salt and pepper (a tiny bit of both) and place on the onion layer

    Mix spinach with cream and place on top of the salmon layer. Then, cover it with the remaining salmon.

    Dress with grated parmigiano and cover with two layers of filo dough.

    Place in the oven for 10 min.

    Dress the top of the pie with olive oil and seeds. Leave in the oven for the next 10-15 min.

    Leave to cool a little bit and serve with melted butter or pesto sauce. Enjoy!
