Ingredients

25 minutes
3 servings
  1. 1/2 cuppigeon pea
  2. 1Lemon size tamarind
  3. 1Tomato 🍅 medium size
  4. 1green chilli or as per your taste
  5. 4Garlic cloves
  6. 1/2 tbspMustard Seeds
  7. PinchAsafoetida
  8. as neededSalt
  9. 1 1/2 tbsprasam powder or as per your taste
  10. 3 tbspoil
  11. 1/2 tbspTurmeric powder

Steps

25 minutes
  1. 1

    Firstly soak lemon size tamarind in hot water for 15 minutes.

  2. 2

    In the meanwhile cook pigeon pea in the cooker for 4 whistles.

  3. 3

    Now in a mixer jar take 1 green chilli,4 garlic cloves n 1 tomato and make a puree.

  4. 4

    After 15 minutes done take a kadai put 3 tbsp oil.

  5. 5

    Once the oil gets heated add asafoetida and mustard

  6. 6

    Once the mustard starts splitter add tomato pure and tamarind pulp

  7. 7

    Mix them fr 2 minutes and add turmeric powder and rasam powder adjust this as your spice

  8. 8

    Let them boil for 5 minutes

  9. 9

    Now add cooked and mashed pigeon pea and salt to it

  10. 10

    Boil it fr 5 minutes..

  11. 11

    Switch off the flame and enjoy with hot rice 🍚
