Even if you don't have enough butter, you can substitute with heavy cream.
Surprisingly, it was easy to make a rich and thick chocolate pound cake.

If the butter is softened when mixing, all the other ingredients will blend in well, and will result in a nice finish. Recipe by mama lisa

Ingredients

6 servings
  1. 30 gramsButter
  2. 80 mlHeavy cream
  3. 60 gramsSugar
  4. 1Egg
  5. 85 gramsWhite flour
  6. 15 gramsCocoa powder
  7. 80 gramsChopped chocolate

Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

Whisk the softened butter and sugar, then add the egg and heavy cream. I doubled the recipe, so I used 2 eggs as seen in the photo.

  2. 2

When mixed, it should look like this.

  3. 3

In a separate bowl, sift the flour and cocoa powder together.

  4. 4

Add Step 3 into 2, and mix. You don't need to be so particular about this.

  5. 5

When Step 4 is blended, add the chopped chocolate into the batter.

  6. 6

Pour the batter into the mold and level the surface.

  7. 7

Bake in the oven for 30 ~ 40 minutes at 180℃.
