It is a combination of ghee, jaggery and peanuts.

Steps

Take a pan and add peanuts and dry roast for 7 minutes in low-medium flame.

And after once peanuts get completely cool then peel the skin of the peanuts.

After that take a same measure of peanuts and chopped jaggery.

Next, take a mixture jar and add peanuts and crush it coarsely.

Furthermore, take a pan and add ghee once it melted completely then add jaggery and 2 tbsp water and stir well till jaggery melts completely.

Stir well till jaggery melts. And boil the jaggery syrup on low flame for 4-5 minutes. Now add cardamom powder and stir well.

Now check the consistancy by dropping jaggery syrup into the water of bowl. It should form a hard ball and cut with a snap sound. If not then boil for another minute and check.

Now add dry ginger powder and pipramul powder(ganthoda powder) and add coarsely crushed peanuts and combine well. And turn off the flame.

Now greace the dish or mould with ghee and spread the chikki and with the help of small cup to smoother the top.

Allow to cool for a minute and when it is still warm cut into pieces.

Now chikki is ready. Enjoy with the festival of kites.
