Ingredients

1 hour
6 - 8 servings
  1. 8-10pork chops
  2. 1 (16 oz)box of Uncle Bens Rice
  3. 3 (10.5 oz)cans Campbell's Beef Consomme + 1/2 can of water
  4. 8-10Bay Leaves

Cooking Instructions

1 hour
  1. 1

Pour box of rice in pan or casserole dish.

  2. 2

Layer the Pork Chops on Rice.

  3. 3

    Place Bay Leaves on rice.

  4. 4

Pour Beef Consomme and 1/2 can of water over Pork Chops and Rice

  5. 5

Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes to 60 minutes. You can adjust the temperature to 300 - 350 for the cook time depending on what you are doing.

  6. 6

My husbands Aunt said that she does this all the time, depending on when she puts this on, how tender she wants the pork chops, etc...

  7. 7

Jody's Aunt said that she has tried using beef broth, and other ingredients in this recipe. It is not the same, and does not taste as good. The bay leaves give it the taste. It can be halved, just reduce the everything. Haven't tried it in a crockpot yet, as yesterday was my first time making it. But I might, and will update.

I cooked this tonight. We don't have Uncle Ben's here in Australia, except the microwave version. Same with Beef Consumme, very hard to get. I used beef bone broth, and Basmati rice. I make a similar dish with Chicken so followed the quantities of rice and liquid. Was really nice, next time I will find thicker pork chops.
