Mix the first five ingredients thoroughly.

Add eggs and milk.

Form into 8 patties, and fry in butter until brown.

Turn down the heat and cover for 30 minutes to thoroughly cooked.

Serve cold sliced on rye bread or warm with a potato-salad.
