Ingredients

  1. 1 cupOil
  2. to tasteSalt
  3. 2 cupsRice
  4. 1 cupCauliflower
  5. 1/2 cupCarrots
  6. 1 cupMatar/ peas
  7. 1/2 cupBeans
  8. 1/2 tbspTurmeric powder
  9. 2 tbspRed chilli powder
  10. 2 tbspGaram masala
  11. 1 cupOnions (thinely sliced)
  12. 4 tbspGinger garlic paste
  13. 4 tbspGreen chillies paste
  14. 1/4 cupPaneer (for garnish)
  15. 2 tspCoriander leaves (for garnish)

Cooking Instructions

    Because it's a handi Pulao so we need a handi.

    Take a handi and heat oil in it.

  3. 3

    Saute gobhi,beans and matar in an oil.

  4. 4

    Once it becomes soft take it out from the oil and add thinely sliced onions into it.

    Mix it well and cook it until the onions turns to golden brown.

    Add ginger garlic paste and green chillies paste to it.

  7. 7

    Cook it for 1 minute.

    Now add the sauted vegetables into the onions and mix it all well.

    Now add all the spices(garam masala powder, turmeric powder,red chilliy powder) into the vegetables and mix it well.

    Now layer the vegetables with the cooked rice and give it a dum for 10-15 minutes.

    Adding paneer is optional.

    Dum handi Pulao is ready to eat.

    Serve it with the chutneys and garnish it with coriander leaves.
