This herbal tea I used to drink when I was a teenager and made by my late sister helps me reduce the pain for my monthly period. Despite an Indonesian woman that this herbal drink (we called it jamu) kunir asem (turmeric tamarind) and used to drink it in the period, which helps us reduce the pain, tummy cramps, the lousy odour is delicious for another healthy winter drink.

As usual, I expend this recipe so my teen daughter can drink (she doesn't like the smell of turmeric, so I add cinnamon to bias the pungent aroma of the turmeric) it also.

Ingredients

  1. 1segment turmeric or 2 tsp ground turmeric
  2. 3pods tamarind
  3. 2blocks palm sugar
  4. 3 cmginger
  5. 1 stickcinnamon
  6. 3.5 cupswater

Cooking Instructions

    Slice the ginger and turmeric then smashes it. Put all the ingredients in the saucepan, add water and boil it for 30 minutes./Iris jahe dan kunyit lalu hancurkan. Masukkan semua bahan ke dalam panci, tambahkan air dan didihkan selama 30 menit.

    Put the ready herbal tea in the thermos to keep it hot or strain using a sieve and ready to drink as a hot drink or cold. During the summer, you can put it in a bottle and refrigerate it as a cold drink./Masukkan teh herbal yang sudah jadi ke dalam termos agar tetap panas atau saring menggunakan saringan dan siap diminum sebagai minuman panas atau dingin. Selama musim panas, Anda bisa memasukkannya ke dalam botol dan menyimpannya di lemari es sebagai minuman dingin.
