Steps

Separate methi leaves from stems and soak in water in a bowl for 15 minutes so that it becomes clean.

Now wash it with clean water and boil it with a pinch of turmeric.

After boiling drain it. Now in a pan heat oil and add sliced onions and sabit laal mirch fry it until golden brown.

Now add tomatoes and cook it until it becomes paste. Now add potatoes and methi and mix it well. Add salt and little water.

Cover it and cook it until potatoes becomes soft. Methi aaloo is ready.

Tip: Tomatoes are very important in this dish. Don't skip or less it instead the more the tomatoes the better ot tastes.
