I wanted to make an original madeleine, so I made cute small sized ones.

I often make this madeleine for my family. You can add cocoa powder, matcha or tea leaves.

Ingredients

  1. 100 gramsFlour
  2. 1 tspBaking powder
  3. 100 gramsMargarine for cake
  4. 2Eggs
  5. 80 gramsSugar

Steps

    Sieve the flour and baking powder together. Bring the eggs to room temperature.

    Put the eggs and sugar into a bowl to mix in with a whisk. Then add the sieved flours to stir lightly.

    Cut the butter into suitable sizes and put into a heatproof tray. Microwave for a minute to dissolve the butter.

    Add the dissolved butter into the bowl that is still floury.

    Mix well with a whisk until it's no longer floury.

    Pour in the batter into the cups. Bake for 15 - 20 minutes at 180°C oven. I used 30 ml of cups in 100 yen shop.

    It's done. Bake until it becomes your favorite color. It's rather white in the photo. Check with a skewer if it comes out clean, it's done.

    After cooling, put the madeleine into cellophane for a small gift.

    I baked the madeline with animal shaped silicon cups. Here are rabbits and bears.

    These are normal sized madeline cups. Add the chocolate chips in the process 5.
