Ingredients

25 to 45 minutes
  1. 3 cupsrolled oats (gluten free if you prefer)
  2. 1 cuppetites (green pumpkin seeds)
  3. 1/4 cuplight or dark brown sugar
  4. 3/4 teaspoonsalt
  5. 1/4 cupcoconut oil or olive oil
  6. 1/4 cupmaple syrup or honey
  7. 1 cupraisins or other fruit
  8. 1 cupunsweetened shredded coconut or coconut flakes
  9. Optional: 1/2 +/- teaspoon cinnamon or vanilla

Steps

25 to 45 minutes
  1. 1

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
    Tip: Gather all your ingredients. Use a large bowl. Use a fork to mix.
    (The brands pictured below are not necessarily the brands you should buy. Your choice.)

    Mix together oats, petites, brown sugar, any spices, and salt.

  3. 3

    Add oil and syrup or honey. Stir to coat

  4. 4

    Spread raw granola on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet.

    Bake for 15 minutes then stir in coconut. Bake another 15 to 30 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. (Time varies depending on which type of oil and sweetener you choose.)

  6. 6

    When the oats are golden brown, turn the oven off and mix in raisins or other fruit. Remove from the oven or let cool in the oven.
