Simple Spinach with Sesame Seeds

My mother taught me this recipe.
Since it's a simple, basic Japanese dish, I'm posting it as a record for my daughter.
Parboil the spinach briefly in a generous amount of boiling water.
If you use ground white sesame seeds, you'll have goma-ae. Recipe by Hitomi

Steps
- 1
Carefully rinse the spinach, immerse in boiling water, parboil briefly, then dunk in chilled water.
- 2
Once the spinach cools, squeeze out the excess water, then chop into 3-5 cm lengths.
- 3
Combine the ☆ ingredients, add chopped spinach and toss, then serve.

- 6
...there's no way you can consume massive amounts of spinach at one time, and by simply parboiling it in a generous amount of water, you'll be fine!
