Steps

Soak and boil chickpeas with salt in a pressure cooker. Keep it aside.
In a frying pan pour oil - 2
Put one clove, one cinnamon stick, bay leaf, one cardomon, cumin seeds. Then add finely chopped onions. fry nicely till golden brown

Add ginger garlic paste. Fry for a minute. Then add salt,turmeric powder, grated tomatoes, red chilli powder, coriander powder and black pepper. Fry nicely. Cover and cook for five minutes

Then remove the lid. When the oil separates add water mix and cook with the lid on.

In the mean while grind coconut with daria dall, one clove,one cinnamon, one cardomon, green chillies, fennel seeds and poppy seeds to a fine paste

Remove the lid.Now add this coconut paste mix and transfer this to the pressure cooker. Now add mutton masala powder and pressure cook for one more whistle

Turn off the cooker and check when the steam has come down

At this point put kasuri methi leaves (crushed) and mix well. Garnish with coriander leaves

Chic peas gravy is ready to plate. It's very tasty with chapati poori and also dosa
