I fell in love with the Brown Sugar & Ginger Syrup recipe -Adding the syrup this way instead of directly adding ginger makes it smoother, and you get a rich after-taste, which, along with its warmth, is totally addictive. Thanks for the wonderful recipe.

If the sake lees aren't dissolving, put them through a tea strainer. Adjust the amounts of all the ingredients as you like. If you don't like sake lees you can make this without them. Recipe by miyuki12

Ingredients

1 serving
  1. 150 mlMilk (or soy milk)
  2. 2 tsp- increase (to taste) ◎Sake lees - see the Helpful Hints
  3. 1from 2 teaspoons to 1 tablespoon ◎ Brown Sugar & Ginger Syrup -
  4. 1to 2 teaspoons ☆Katakuriko
  5. 2 tsp☆Water
  6. 1Cinnamon (optional)

Steps

  1. 1

    Microwave the sake lees for 20 seconds at 500 W to soften.

  2. 2

    Add the ◎ ingredients to a small pot and heat on low heat. Add the sake lees.

  3. 3

    Add the dissolved ☆ ingredients to the pan from Step 2, and mix while heating on low heat until it's creamy.

  4. 4

    Top with cinnamon if you like.
