Firstly, wash and soak bajra overnight.

In a cooker, heat oil and add asafoetida, cumin seeds, bay leaf and cinnamon stick.

Then add onion and ginger garlic paste. Saute it till the raw smell goes away.

Then add carrot and peas and tomatoes mix it well and saute it for 2 minutes.

Finally, add bajra, moong dal, red chilli powder, garam massala, turmeric powder, salt and water. Mix everything well.

Cover and cook it for 4-5 whistles on medium flame.

Take it out in bowl and garnish it with ghee and coriander leaves and it's ready to eat.
