Beef Bourguignon Without Red Wine

Chop the onion into small pieces and sauté in a large pot.

Add the beef, cut into cubes, and stir for 5 minutes. Add the carrots.

Dissolve the bouillon cube in the 1 1/4 cups water, then add to the pot.

Simmer on low heat for 3 hours and 30 minutes. Add more water if needed. At the end of cooking, mix the cold milk with the flour, then stir into the pot to thicken the sauce.
