I am sharing my cooksnap of Vrat recipe by recreating the Sabudana Thalipeeth recipe shared by fellow author Ms. Renu Chandratre. It was so tasty! Thank you Renu ji for your recipe.
For the auspicious occasion of Mahashivratri and many other Vrat days too, Singhara is eaten as fasting food. There are so many recipes which can be prepared with Singhara or Water Chestnut. This recipe of Thalipeeth or (skillet pressed pancake) is beyond easy and nutritious too.
Best eaten with Vrat special tangy and spicy potato curry and some sago kheer as dessert! Mouth watering combination. Enjoy!

First, combine all the ingredients except ghee in a deep bowl. Cover and keep for 10 minutes to infuse the water steam in the mixture.

Then adjust salt, knead to a soft dough by using more hot water if needed, till smooth. Keep covered for 5 minutes.

Then heat a skillet or tawa.Grease with ghee. Wipe away extra. Take out a ball sized portion from the dough and press on the tawa in a circular disc shape.

Make 4 small indentations so that you can pour in drops of ghee in them to cook. Use 1 tsp ghee each side and cook covered from both side till crisp and brown.

Serve hot with vrat special potato curry and sago kheer. Enjoy!
