Firstly dry fry shrimps on a low flame, crush lightly and remove head portion clean it and wash keep aside, dry fry all the masala ingredients, mustard, cumin seeds, fenugreek seeds, peppercorns..grind everything together coconut, turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and ginger to a fine paste.

Place a deep sauce pan on medium flame.. add oil heat up add chopped onions and curry leaves saute until onions are light brown in colour, add pumpkin pieces saute it for two minutes add salt, tamarind pulp, and ground masala add enough water, consistency should be little thick, close the lid, cook the pumpkins until almost done..

Lastly, add shrimps..give it a good mix..Cover the lid cook for 10-12 more minutes. Your yum delicious dry shrimp pumpkin curry is ready...
