This spicy luscious Bengali style Dum Aloo tastes fabulous with Luchi or Kachori.

Steps

Boil potatoes and peas. Peel off the skin of potatoes. Pour oil into a pan. Temper with 1 dry red Chilli. Put the potatoes and peas for frying.

Chop tomato, ginger and put them in a blender. Make a paste with cashew nuts and green Chilli.

As potatoes turn golden, add the masala paste. Coat potatoes with the paste. Take curd in a bowl. Whisk well. Put it in the pan. Add salt and Gur to taste.

Take 1 Tsp Coriander Powder in a bowl. Add black pepper powder and turmeric powder as well. Make a paste with water. Put it in the pan as well. Cover with a lid after mixing everything. Let the potatoes absorb the flavor.

After few minutes of cooking, remove the lid. Add water. Wait till the water starts boiling. Sprinkle 1 Tsp Garam Masala Powder and finish cooking.
