Thaw the peaches (save the juice for another use)

In a round cake pan, add the granulated sugar and butter pieces over medium heat

Let the mixture melt until it forms a light caramel, then reduce to low heat

Place the peaches, rounded side down, tightly over the caramel; preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C)

Roll out the pie crust and place it over the peaches, tucking the edges in well; cook for 5 minutes on low heat

Transfer to the oven and bake for 30 minutes

Invert the tart onto a serving plate as soon as it comes out of the oven

Let it cool slightly at room temperature

Sprinkle with brown sugar
