Grilled Proscuitto, Apple Smoked Bacon and Cheese Sammiches

Ingredients

  1. 2 poundsrazor thin sliced prosciutto
  2. 1 loaffresh baked brioche bread
  3. 2cakes of boursin cheese softened
  4. 8 slicessharp cheddar cheese
  5. 1 lbApple smoked bacon
  6. 8 slicessmoked gouda cheese
  7. 8 slicesdill havarti cheese
  8. 1 poundsoftened butter

Cooking Instructions

    Butter one side of 16 slices of bread

  2. 2

    Bake bacon on a sheet tray at 300 degrees until it is crispy.

    Do the same with the proscuitto.

  4. 4

    Add 2 slices of bacon to 8 slices of bread.

  5. 5

    Distribute prosciutto evenly on 8 slices of bread.

  6. 6

    Add 1 slice of each cheese on the meat of each sandwich

  7. 7

    Spread boursin on the other pieces of buttered bread.assemble sandwiches so butter faces out on each side.

    In a buttered skillet grill each sandwich on both sides until the cheese melts.

    Trim crust from all sides of the sandwiches. Cut them corner to corner.

    Serve with my Continental Tomato Bisque. Grind up the crust trimmings in a food processor and use it to bread fish or chicken filets.
