"We Are Aliens From Outer Space..."

These are decoratively cut wiener sausages. The other day my daughter was in a really bad mood during breakfast and wasn't touching her food at all, so I made these to cheer her up.
I just wanted to make my family laugh! I thought I was making 'aliens' but my kids both say they look more like octopuses. They'll look great in your bento. Recipe by chikappe

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Make cuts into the sausages. If you don't want to bother too much with the mouths, just make a straight cut.
- 2
Pan fry the sausages in a frying pan with a little oil. The straight hands and legs will spread out in the heat. When the sausages are nicely cooked, take them out of the pan.
- 3
Make holes for the eyes with a blunt end of a toothpick. Once you poke in sesame seeds in the eye holes, they are done.
- 4
I also made skinny aliens out of sausages sliced in half lengthwise, for the kids.
- 5
The aliens invaded my son's bento. It's been a while since I've made these. I put some in my husband's bento too, and he said, "Our eyes met..."

Floating Islands Floating Islands
This is a classic french dessert. When I was a teen my parents took us to France to visit, my oldest brother, who had gone over to visit his high school exchange student girlfriend after finishing college. He ended up staying and attending medical school there so we went to visit. His girlfriend had a muti course dinner for us and this was the amazing dessert. It was so beautiful and different, light crisp with chewy center middle meringues floating in a creamy vanilla custard sauce with drizzles of caramel and chocolate. You will have to plan ahead for the long cooking time and chilling of the custard, but it can be madecin advance and assembled right before serving fenway -

"Say Hello to My Bowl of Soup" "Say Hello to My Bowl of Soup"
Okay, if you haven't already noticed; I 💖 soup! My cousin Jim's wife is unmistakably, without a doubt full blown Italian (yes awesome accent and all) a few years back the family would get together and watch "Scarface" "The Godfather" and marathons of the "Sopranos" and each time, Maria would make this soup. And every time (being the corny family we are) we would all say "Say hello to my bowl of soup" each time she dished it. We're losers I know. But get a bunch of Brazilian, Portuguese and Italians together... well... Ya know. . lol. ENJOY!!!! Kels Ro -
Charaben: Doraemon Peeking In Charaben: Doraemon Peeking In
I wanted to make a quick and easy Doraemon, so I made him look like he was peeking in through a door.If you're making a bento, you just have to line the bottom with the rice for the door, so it's even more simple! If the rice is too hot, the nori will become soft, so let it cool a bit first. Recipe by Hitomikan1027 cookpad.japan -
Mexican at Home! Mexican at Home!
When I was posted overseas, there was no Mexican restaurant. But I had a craving for Mexican food, so I made it myself.Since then, this dish has become our standard menu in our family.*You can make the chili con carne soupy, or rather thick, or however you want. The consistency changes depending on how long you cook it for. You can make it more colorful if you add carrots or bell peppers.*Make tortillas to your desired sizes. We like making them small, and enjoy with lots of different toppings! For 4-6 servings. Recipe by Komahina mama cookpad.japan -
