Simple! Egg-Free, Oven-Baked Tonkatsu

It's a pain in the neck to fry both sides of food, so I wanted to make it in the oven. This doesn't require neither frying oil nor eggs both are substituted with the mayonnaise. It was a very easy dish to prepare, but my family loved it!

Cooking Instructions
- 1
Slice the tendons off of the pork and then cook it. However, be careful not to cook it to the point that the meat starts to curl. Dry any remaining moisture off of the meat with a paper towel and then season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Combine the ☆ seasonings in a bowl. Add water until the mixture smoothes out into the consistency of thick and heavy sauce.
- 3
Put the panko on a heatproof plate and sprinkle olive oil on top. Mix well and spread it out.
- 4
Heat it for 30 seconds in the microwave at 600 W. Mix it again and spread it out. Repeat this until it has cooked for 2 minutes total. Once it's golden brown like the picture, it's done (don't cover it with plastic wrap).
- 5
Coat both sides of the pork slices with flour (not listed in ingredients) and then coat evenly with the panko mixture. Continue to coat it until both sides are crispy.
- 6
Line an oven tray with parchment paper and then place the meat on it. Preheat your oven to 200℃ for 5 minutes and then bake the meat for 15-20 minutes.
- 7
Place it on a plate and serve it up with a side. I recommend.

Easy and Cheap! Soft Bite-Sized Tonkatsu Easy and Cheap! Soft Bite-Sized Tonkatsu
Some tonkatsu recipes involve layering the cuts of pork on the top of each other, shaping them, then dredging, which is too complicated. I simply used mayonnaise and panko, which I already tried when making fried Pacific Saury.Thinly sliced pork will make result in a tender meat. To shape the tonkatsu pieces, squeeze the meat slices into little balls with your hands. The mayonnaise makes it easier to coat in the panko. The thinly sliced pork can be cooked quickly without deep frying. Recipe by Madorinko cookpad.japan -

My kids love Tonkatsu- Japanese style deep fried pork cutlets but I hate to deep fry, with all the extra oil and calories, So I pan-fried and let the oven do the rest. You can cut extra calories by using tenderloin instead of the usual loin which is much leaner. Miyuki Suyari
