Beef Steak with Lots of Veggies

When I was a student, my friend's mother told me that cooking the meat this way would make it tender. I'm not sure if this is true or false, but nevertheless, that's how I've cooked beef since then.
Serving this steak with fancy sauce sounds great too, but it's also amazing with "Super Versatile Garlic Soy Sauce". If you don't have "Basil Butter", you can also use regular butter. Recipe by chima@

Steps
- 1
Slice the beef against the grain (as if cutting through the tendon) then pound it using the handle of your knife to soften. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Marinate the beef in olive oil for at least 30 minutes along with the chopped vegetables. I've heard this makes the resulting steak absorb the flavor of the vegetables, hence making it tender.
- 3
Stir-fry the vegetables before cooking the meat. Using the same frying pan, cook the meat to your preference. Dish it up, and top with basil butter.
- 4
Also serve with garlic soy sauce or your preferred steak sauce.
