All-Purpose Easy to Remember 3:2:1 Pork Rice Bowl Sauce

cookpad.japan
cookpad.japan @cookpad_jp

The pork rice bowl sauce that my mom taught me how to make is really delicious, but the method is very traditional. Because I always tend to cut corners, I tried making this using just 3 basic ingredients.

This is up to you, however....when making a thicker sauce, adjust the heat to make sure that it doesn't reduce too much and burn. If you make a lot in advance and store it in a container in the fridge, all you have to do is take it out whenever you want some deliciously seasoned meat. Recipe by hibby

Steps

  1. 1

Add all the ingredients to a small pot, dissolve the sugar well, and reduce the sauce over low heat, stirring occasionally. Adjust the heat to make sure that it doesn't boil too rapidly.

  2. 2

This is up to your liking, but simmering it until it reduces by half is good. Remove any scum that develops.

  3. 3

Because the sauce thickens when cooled, when placing it in a storage container, pour it into the container when hot, allow to cool, and then place in the fridge. Be careful not to burn yourself.

  4. 4

Mix with pork cooked in a frying pan, and then place over rice You'll be able to enjoy a delicious pork rice bowl in no time.
