Stuffed potato idli

Idli is very delicious and zero oil , steam cooked receipe.
But here I tried some little change on making it. I used potato masala as filling in idli.
Idli has many versions like rava idli, thatte idli , uddina idli etc.
South india's idli is very famous and popular snack or meal. But now it is famous all over in india.
Let's go for the receipe.

Let's go for the receipe.

For making idli batter : take a big vessel and add rice, urad dal and fenugreek seeds, wash properly for 2-3 times and soak it for 8 hours.

After 8 hours drain the water and take a mixture blender, add all the ingredients and grind to fine and fluffy batter. And keep aside for 9 hours for fermentation.

For preparing aloo masala : boil the potatoes and once it is cool down then grate the potatoes. Along with that soak chana dal in water.

Next, take a pan and add oil, asafoetida, mustard seed, cumin seeds and saute it till it crackles. Now add soaked chana dal and curry leaves and saute it well.

Further add choppe onion and ginger and saute it till it turns golden brown. & add turmeric and saute it.

Furthermore, add grated boiled potatoes in it and combine well. Next add salt, red chilli powder, garam masala and aamchur powder and mix well.

Now aloo masala is ready. Garnish ot with green coriander leaves.

For preparing idli : add salt in idli batter and mix it well. Take a idli plate and grease it with oil.

Nextly, pour little batter in idli plate in idli plate and add add 1 table spoon or aloo masala tikki in it with gentle press. And again cover the stuffing with idli batter.

Make sure that you add enough water in the bottom of steamer. Once it is boiled then keep idli plate in steamer and steam it for 12-15 minutes in medium flame. And repeat the process for with rest of the batter.

Now stuffed idli is ready. Enjoy it with coconut chutney, sambhar.
