In a pot, heat the sweetened condensed milk with the sugar until the sugar dissolves. Lower the heat and add the beaten eggs, vanilla, and vegetable oil. In a large bowl, dissolve the yeast with the 3 cans of warm (not hot) water, and once dissolved, add the pot mixture to the bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and gradually add the flour. Knead and leave covered in a warm place for at least 2 hours to rise. If desired, weigh the dough.

Divide the dough into 500-gram portions (I got 12) and shape the tsoureki as desired. Once they rise for about 60 minutes, brush them with the egg beaten with milk, sprinkle with sliced almonds, and bake in a preheated oven at 340°F (170°C) for 20 to 25 minutes with fan. I put the baking trays in the oven ten minutes before starting to bake.

📌 The dough should be soft and slightly sticky; oil your hands and knead for about 5 to 6 minutes. 📌📌 The vegetable oil can be replaced with butter or half-and-half.
