Boil pineapple and sugar for 5 minutes.

Mix jello and hot water

Combine pineapple mixture and jello. Put in refrigerator to cool until slightly jell.

When jello mixture is slightly jelled, fold in cool whip. Add cheese and pecans.

Return to refrigerator until firmly jelled before serving.
