Like all arepas... Very Venezuelan. This one takes some patience to make.
Steps

Peel and cut the yuca and plantain into pieces.

Boil both together, or separately if you want to save the plantain broth. Once tender, remove and let cool.

Remove the tough fibers from the center.

This is the hardest part. Grate the yuca using the finest side of a grater (or use a food processor; not sure if it works well with yuca, so you may want to check).
Tip: You can also grate it before boiling in step 2.

Combine the ingredients step by step: first add the water/broth, then the plantain, then the yuca, and finally the butter. Knead the mixture.
Note: The dough may look a bit lumpy.

Shape the dough into balls and flatten them into arepa shapes. Heat a griddle or skillet for 5 minutes, then place each arepa on it.

Cook for 8-10 minutes on each side until a lightly toasted crust forms. Enjoy!
