Soak the chicken in the buttermilk for at least 2 hours

Pour the canola oil into a deep pan and heat to 350 degrees

Mix all the other dry ingredients for the batter into a bowl

Take the chicken from the buttermilk and coat it in the batter.

Place the chicken in the hot oil and cook until the internal temperature is 165 degrees and the outside is crisp and golden
- 6
Take the chicken out of the oil and let set for a couple minutes before serving so it is not too hot.
