Ingredients

40 minutes
4-5 servings
  1. 4 tbspghee
  2. 2 cupspinach leaves
  3. 1 tbspboiled peas
  4. 1 cuptomato puree
  5. 1 tspcumin seeds
  6. 1green chilli
  7. 4-5saffron stands
  8. as per tasteSalt
  9. 1/2 tspred chilli powder
  10. 1 1/2 cuprice

  1. 1

    Firstly add rice to a cooker along with water. Close the lid and cook nicely.

  2. 2

    For the green layer --take a pan and boil spinach leaves with water. Add 1/3 part of cooked rice and coat well so that the rice gets green color. now in a pan add 1 tbsp ghee and add spinach rice, mashed peas, and green chili. Add the desired amount of salt.

    For yellow layer----Heat 1 tbsp oil and add saffron with the required amount of water. Once the water gets yellowish add 1/3 part of cooked rice. Add salt and mix well.

    For orange layer --- In a pan add 1 tbsp oil and cumin seeds. When crackle adds tomato puree, salt, and chili powder. Add cooked rice and toss until you get a nice orange color.

  5. 5

    To assemble ---In a container first layed the yellow colour rice and flatten it. Now add the green colour rice and flatten it to form an even layer. Then add the orange colour rice and even it out using a spatula.

    Then turn the container upside-down on the plate. Garnish with some paneer cubs, coriander leaves, chili flakes, and black pepper.
