Soak chickpeas overnight then discard the water

Rub baking soda over chickpeas and leave them for half an hour, now wash again, put enough water and boil the chickpeas till tender, there should be two cups water remaining after they get boiled

Now add all ingredients except cornflour and onion, adjust the seasoning according to your taste

In a bowl mix cornflour with some water and pour it slowly in chole till you get the right consistency, turn off the flame

Mix sliced onion when hot.

Serve hot with papri
