Steps

Cook 1.75 cups of rice, allow it to dry

Mix in basil, parsley, thyme, pepper and salt with the rice

Dice onion, broccoli and carrot

Boil broccoli and carrots for 5 minutes, then drain. Mix together with seasoned rice.

Add in any cooked meat of choice into rice

In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of flour and mix. Gradually stir in milk. Stir for a few minutes

Add in cream sauce to rice, as well as shredded cheese. Mix well

Layer the top with additional shredded cheese

Bake at 180C for 30 minutes
