Staying at home because of the pandemic, so I decided to make brown sugar boba! It's simple and delicious! You can freeze any leftovers for easy storage.
Cooking Instructions
- 1
Pour hot water into a bowl with brown sugar.
- 2
Slowly add tapioca starch to the brown sugar water, stirring until it forms a dough.
- 3
Roll the dough into small balls of your preferred size and place them on a plate dusted with tapioca starch to prevent sticking.
- 4
Freeze some of the pearls for later, and cook the rest right away.
- 5
Bring water to a boil, add the pearls, and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. Then turn off the heat and let them sit, covered, for 20 minutes.
- 6
Scoop out the pearls and place them in ice water.
- 7
Pour out some of the water, add brown sugar, and return the pearls (after ice water) to the pot. Cook together until the brown sugar thickens.
- 8
Spoon the pearls and syrup into a cup, add milk and your favorite tea, and enjoy!

Taro Bubble Tea Taro Bubble Tea
For years I have been searching for a recipe end started experimenting with my own. I was tired of paying tons of money for these drinks when one could easily make it themselves for pennies. The pearls and flavor mixes can be found at most Asian markets. This recipe is basic and works just as well with crushed ice using a blender. You can experiment with other flavors like traditional milk tea or mango. Hilary Harmony -
Caramel Milk Tea Caramel Milk Tea
I combined my favourite caramel and milk tea. It's easy to make using just one saucepan. It's quite sweet, so it might be better to reduce the amount of sugar and water? I like very sweet milk tea.If you don't make a rich-coloured caramel, it will just look like usual milk tea, so be careful. Recipe by Izumiuna cookpad.japan -

Milk Tea Jam Milk Tea Jam
While I was making milk jam, I got the urge to make milk tea jam.Make this when you have time to spare. You can't leave the pan while this is cooking. When this is simmering, the room will become filled with a wonderful aroma. The jam will thicken when cooled, but at 200 ml it will still be in liquid form. If you have the patience, keep simmering until it's about 180 ml, and the consistency will be perfect. If it's still too thin when cooled, you can return it to the heat and simmer it for longer. Sweet Milk Tea Ring Bread with Black Tea Leaves Sweet Milk Tea Ring Bread with Black Tea Leaves
This bread is rich with the scent of the tea and milk, so I made it to send as a gift. You can adjust the amount of tea leaves to suit your tastes, but they will soak up the moisture, so increase the amount of milk as needed if you do. If you want to bake it to a nice golden brown color all over, then it will take about 16~18 minutes (they were baked for 15 minutes in the photo). For 18 cm [7.1 in] chiffon mold.
