Ingredients

40-45 mins
4-6 people
  1. 1/2 CupGreen Peas: Fresh or Frozen- Parboiled/Cooked
  2. 3/4 CupWalnuts: Roughly Chopped or Pounded
  3. 1-1.5tsps or To Taste Salt
  4. 1/2 CupFresh Spinach: Blanched
  5. 3-4Green Chillies: Finely Chopped
  6. 1.5 tbsps (2 G)Paste or Minced
  7. 2Boiled Potatoes: Peeled & Mashed
  8. 1 tspor To Taste Salt
  9. 1 tbspRoasted Cumin Seeds & Red Chilli Powder
  10. 1 tspGaram Masala Powder
  11. 1 tspChaat Masala Powder
  12. 2 tbspsBesan/Gram Flour
  13. 2 tbspsRice or CornFlour
  14. As Required Cooking Oil: For Shallow Frying
  15. As neededGarnish: A Handful: Fresh Walnuts- Roughly Chopped or Use it- As is
  16. 1Handful: Fresh Coriander & Mint Leaves Sprigs & Finely Chopped- Both

Steps

    First Up: Pulse the Walnuts, a couple of times to a very grainy & coarse textured powders (To be felt in the mouth while eating it)- Keep Aside

  2. 2

    Now, Add in the Mixer-Grinder Jar: the Blanched/Cooked Green Peas & Spinach Leaves, green chillies, ginger-garlic & coriander leaves- Pulse these well too to set aside for the time being

  3. 3

    In a large mixing bowl: Add in the boiled & mashed potatoes, freshly ground green paste, pounded walnuts mixture, salt, chaat masala, besan, garam masala & the bhuna masala powder- Mix everything well together with your hands until nicely combined and well incorporated

  4. 4

    Heat up a heavy bottomed frying pan over the medium-high flame initially- Add in the required amount of the oil- aforesaid for its shallow frying- Now, greasing your hands with some oil/ghee- Start shaping up the Kebabs nicely- Take a handful of the kebab mixture in your hands, gently press it, in between your palms to give it your desired Kebab Shapes

    Now, drop them into the pan slowly & gently and fry then evenly, until golden brown on both the sides- Depending on the sizes of your frying pan or vessel- Fry them accordingly, in 2-3 batches, one after the other

    Once all that’s done now: Transfer it to a separate serving plate or platter- Garnish it your own way & serve it hot with your favourite dips/chutneys/sauces and just that

  7. 7

    It’s now TIME.. Relish this DELISH now…
