Pan-Fried Bánh Chưng
This dish is often made after Lunar New Year if you have leftover bánh chưng at home.
Steps
- 1
Remove the strings and outer leaves. Cut the bánh chưng into your preferred shapes (halves, triangles), or leave it whole if you like.
- 2
Heat oil in a skillet and add the bánh chưng pieces to fry.
- 3
When the bánh chưng is golden and crispy to your liking, drain the excess oil and transfer to a plate. I always add chili sauce to fried dishes—it looks beautiful with the golden and red colors and is very appetizing.
