Suji Halwa is a delicious melt in mouth aromatic dessert famous all over India.Different regions have different names but the process of making it is more or less same.The basic ingredients to make this classic delicacy are suji or rava or semolina, sugar,nuts,ghee and flavored with cardamom powder.It is also popular as rava sheera or rava kesari and served as prasadam in puja alongwith puri.Suji Halwa can be served as an aftermeal dessert or Halwa Puri can be enjoyed in breakfast as well.

Heat ghee in a wok. Add suji and roast till light brown. Add sugar, milk, and water and toss till the moisture dries up and there is a nice aroma of ghee and roasted suji.

After few minutes add chopped dry fruits and cardamom powder.

Toss and garnish with few chopped nuts and serve hot or warm delicious suji halwa as an after meal dessert or in breakfast with puri.
